What is the best period underwear for plus sizes?
femtis period underwear offers you various styles in different absorbencies. You will find vegan and biocide-free period underwear with secure leak protection. Since the launch of our Curvy Collection, we have been striving to offer more models with size options up to 6XL. femtis, as a manufacturer, offers you secure leak protection without biocides and silver chloride in various color combinations for your menstrual flow.
How often should you change a plus size period panty?
We recommend changing period underwear after 8 hours or when it starts to feel damp. The frequency of changing also depends on your individual flow strength. Period underwear as a menstrual product is more comfortable for many to wear than cloth pads, cotton pads, or night pads, and the liner does not feel like a diaper. A big plus, especially for girls and during the first menstruation: nothing needs to be inserted in the intimate area, and it looks like normal underwear.
Period panties in plus sizes: how to wash & care?
Rinse your femtis period panty by hand with cold water after wearing. Make sure the blood is completely washed out. You can tell this when the water is clear. This is especially important to prevent permanent stains.
Afterwards, you can either wash it directly or after a short air-drying phase in the machine at a washing temperature of up to 60 degrees Celsius. For the longevity of the fabrics, we recommend washing at 40 degrees. To protect the panty, ideally use a laundry bag. Then let it air dry, and your underwear is ready to use again.
Please do not use fabric softener, do not put it in the dryer, and do not iron the panty, as this could damage the absorbency of the period panties. If needed, you can use a hygiene rinse.
