This is what femtis stands for.
You should feel safe and comfortable in every phase of your cycle. That’s why we develop high-quality period underwear and focus on responsible production.
We always give you clear words instead of empty promises.

Why switching to period underwear is worth it.
Did you know that a menstruating person uses around 14,000* tampons or pads over their lifetime? That creates a lot of waste — and puts a strain on your skin, your wallet, and your nerves.

Period underwear is different. And for many: better.
- Reusable instead of disposable
- No slipping, no strings, no worries
- Soft, safe, breathable – day & night
And you don’t have to constantly think about the next change.
Info.
For your safety and comfort, we recommend changing your panty after a maximum of 8 hours – or sooner if it feels full. The exact wearing time depends on your flow strength and the absorbency level you choose.
What's inside your femtis?
Our period panty ROMY doesn't just look good – it's got a lot going on inside. Literally. Because ROMY is made of four clever layers that work together to ensure a secure, dry, and comfortable wearing experience.
Period Panty – ROMY.
The four-layer system of ROMY (heavy) absorbs the equivalent of up to 2.5 tampons – offering reliable leak protection even during heavy periods.
ROMY is washable at 40 °C, durable, and ready for many cycles with you.
You don’t need biocides.
Our panties work completely without antibacterial additives. femtis deliberately avoids biocides like silver chloride – because we believe: only what is necessary belongs in the intimate area.
Tested & Traceable
Some of our styles have been tested according to the FEMTECHMAS-6513-1:2023 standard by Hohenstein. This independently evaluates how absorbent the layered area in the gusset is and whether the measured absorption capacity matches the values we state. The testing standard itself does not define fixed minimum or target values. Find more information here:
Who actually makes your femtis?
Our panties come from a production facility we’ve worked with closely and trustfully since 2018. The factory is located in China and is managed by Rose, who is deeply committed to empowering women in her company. Currently, 75 women and 38 men work there – a team that truly knows what matters.
What matters to us:
Responsibility? We take it seriously.
That’s why we don’t just have good intentions, but clear rules: Our Code of Conduct defines what we – and our partners – live by and expect: social, ecological, transparent.
To our Code of Conduct
But it’s also clear: paper alone changes nothing. We rely on genuine dialogue and long-term cooperation with all people who come into contact with our products. What does that mean? We meet in person as often as possible and stay in touch across borders in the meantime.
To our HRDD Policy
HRDD stands for Human Rights Due Diligence — that is, our human rights due diligence in the supply chain. How do we identify risks? How do we deal with them? And what happens if something goes wrong? All of this is described in our HRDD Policy — from prevention to complaint mechanisms to remediation. The process is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines, and the ILO Core Labor Standards.
To our Grievance Mechanism
What happens if something is wrong in our supply chain? Our Grievance Mechanism Policy describes how complaints are received, who handles them, and how we work together with our partners to provide remedies — including clear deadlines and protection for everyone who reports an issue.
femtis collaborates with Fair Wear.
Since 2025, femtis has been collaborating with Fair Wear – a non-profit organization that advocates worldwide for safe, fair, and dignified working conditions in the textile industry. For us, this means taking responsibility in our supply chain. And not just when an audit is imminent.
Getting better together:
We work closely with our factories to identify risks such as long working hours, low wages, or lack of workplace safety early on – and improve them step by step.
Long-term partnerships:
We rely on stable relationships, regularly visit our production sites, and develop concrete improvement plans together.
Open reporting:
Starting in 2026, we will transparently publish annually what is going well – and what is not. The results will then be publicly available on our Fair Wear brand page. The first Brand Performance Check will appear in 2026.
Taking responsibility:
When problems arise, we do not look away. Fair Wear supports us in finding solutions that truly make a difference for workers.
Why Fair Wear?
Fair Wear brings brands, factories, and other stakeholders together to structurally change something – in a system that is often very complex. Our common goal: better working conditions for the people who make our products.
And very importantly: No garment is "100% fair." But we can – and want to – get a little better every day. That is exactly why we are part of Fair Wear. Because as a manufacturing company, we always leave traces. And where people work together, not everything always goes perfectly. What matters to us: to look closely, take responsibility, and find solutions together – instead of pretending there are no challenges.
Let's get started.
Transparency is important to us – even if that means admitting that we are just at the beginning.
Our to-dos:
- Measure and communicate CO2 emissions
- Purchase our cotton styles certified (OCS)
- Use recycled materials
- Further disclose the supply chain – down to the details
- Focus more on sea freight, less on air freight
OCS certification for the products.
We want to have our period underwear certified with OCS in the future. Why not GOTS? Our production facility is GOTS-certified – a standard for high environmental and social standards. However, we currently cannot certify our period underwear according to GOTS because, in addition to the permissible PU protective layer, other functional materials are used that do not meet the GOTS requirements. This is simply a challenge with period underwear because it has to meet different criteria than regular clothing. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) checks the proportion of organically produced cotton and enables its traceability along the supply chain. For the intimate area of our products, we use cotton from organic farming.
Transport.
Our products used to be shipped 100% by air freight. Today, we are changing our plans – with the goal of gradually switching to sea freight. From 2026, at least 50% of our deliveries are to be made by ship, and in the long term, we want to reduce the share of air freight to below 2%.
Summary.
Yes – (still) no CO₂ balance, (still) no seals.
But we’re working on it. And we’ll take you along on the journey.
Giving Back – small projects with big impact.
We know we can’t save the world. But we can do something – and we’ve started. femtis regularly donates to projects that promote education, equality, and period justice.
Example: Around 500 returned panties were donated to Period e.V. – reaching those who truly need them.
And that’s just the beginning.
